The President is responsible for representing the AEGSEG—and thus graduate students in master’s and doctoral programs—on committees and bodies at the faculty, university, and funding agencies, as well as, if necessary, government agencies. The President is responsible for and leads the association. The committees on which it must serve are:
- The FIE Committee
- The FER Committee
- The Faculty Council
Internally, it leads the Executive Committee meetings every two weeks. It also chairs the Board of Directors meetings during each session and the General Assemblies in March/April.
