The VP-Student Affairs advocates for the academic interests of AEGSEG members (academic conditions, quality of teaching and research, etc.). Its goal is also to raise awareness of members’ rights as students and workers, to facilitate AEGSEG members’ access to available resources (Graduate Student Handbook), and to serve as a liaison between international students and AEGSEG.
The VP-Student Affairs is also responsible for serving as a liaison between the faculty administration, the faculty’s student liaison, and students on all matters related to mental health and student life.
